Making Sense of Psychedelics webinar: Where Is the Field and Where Does It Need to Go? Psychedelics show therapeutic promise,…
View eventThis is an invite-only Funders and Editors Listening event focused on adverse event reporting in digital mental health.
The regulation of digital mental health technologies (DMHTs) is complex and fragmented. One way to support monitoring and regulation is the reporting of adverse events (AEs), and yet far fewer of these are reported than expected for DMHTs.
What might be the challenges and opportunities in AE reporting for DMHTs? How can funders and journal editors – as influencing bodies at the beginning and end of the research process – support AE reporting?
Our Digital Mental Health Working Group is exploring these issues as part of a series on digital mental health and ethics. Join the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (UK), National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (UK), Mindtech, UK Mental Health Mission and IAMHRF for a discussion about the appetite and feasibility of enhancing funding application and peer review processes support the reporting of adverse events for DMHTs.
The session will be chaired by John Torous, director of the digital psychiatry division in the Department of Psychiatry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (USA) and editor-in-chief of JIMR Mental Health.
This event is open to IAMHRF members and invited journal editors. If you haven’t already received an invitation, please email Susan to register and receive the meeting link.
